As an MVP of the whole platform, Blocks.garden is launching with just the last 24h before the Merge. these are 5882 Blocks for a total of 82.597 MWh.
- Day 1 Starts on Block 15.531.512 (view on Etherscan)
- and end on Block 15.537.393 (view on Etherscan) which is the Merge block and has ben Gifted to Vitalik
What’s in a name: the Day 1 is called liked this because we will collectively start a journey backwards in time, decarbonizing first the most recent energy consumption that is also the biggest, and going further back in time until the genesis.
The 5882 that comprise a day are also an average number of blocks that fits well on a laptops’s screen allowing readability of the content. so simplifying one can think that Blocks.garden will have 2605 “day canvases”, for the 2605 days of Ethereum 1 since the first block was mined on 2015-07-30, until the last block of the Merge on 2022-09-15
Day 1 is a special and rare canvas as it will be the canvas that every user will land on when opening Blocks garden
